AiOmed, the first Clinical Firewall, announced the successful completion of the pilot for its AI and ML-based groundbreaking technology designed to prevent adverse clinical outcomes and hospital admissions of elders in long-term care facilities and reduce workload and cost of care. The pilot at MB Healthcare skilled nursing network in the US included the platform’s different components and gathered patient health data including clinicians’ and caregivers’ feedback.
Following the successful pilot in MB Healthcare, AiOmed signed on a large-scale pilot with leading long-term care networks and raised the second phase of its Pree-Seed funding.
AiOmed is a cloud-based, open platform designed to support providers of long-term care by providing them the tools they need to increase care capacity, prioritize care, reduce workloads, prevent adverse clinical outcomes, and provide cost-effective treatment.
Through automation of daily processes, advanced AI algorithms, and machine learning, the system can predict and alert healthcare providers to potential risks and clinical conditions that may lead to adverse clinical outcomes and hospital admission, allowing for early intervention and helping healthcare providers to focus on delivering high-quality care and improving patients’ outcomes.
During the pilot, AiOmed managed to detect clinical conditions that have placed patients at risk of deterioration, demonstrated a 60% reduction in the time it takes to daily monitor the patients, and improved adherence to treatment plans and compliance with regulations and standard of care.
“We are thrilled with the results of the pilot, which validated the efficiency of our technology”, said Keren Lipshitz, CEO of AiOmed. “Our solution represents a significant breakthrough in the field of long-term care and has the potential of transforming the way healthcare to geriatric elders is delivered”.
The pilot’s success was due in part to the close collaboration between AiOmed, its design partners, and advisory board members, who provided invaluable insights and expertise throughout the process.
AiOmed is now preparing to pilot its technology in leading long-term care networks in the US. The company will also embark on a seed financing round in January 2024 to support the platform development and drive the US market development.
